Cool Federer in the cold
Will Roger Federer be able to bounce back at Wimbledon? That's the question after his 6-1, 6-3, 6-0 meltdown in the French open final against the unstoppable force - Rafael Nadal.
The 22 year old Spaniard is undoubtedly the King of Clay, so should be the favourite every time they meet on the slowest surface, but the way the world number one crumbled was spectacular. The record number of unforced errors on his part was worrying and despite his ultra cool exterior, he must be having sleepless nights about Nadal's dominance on clay and improvement on other surfaces.
Federer must start to vent some emotion! He played his best tennis in the second set when he actually celebrated a point (twice) and showed some frustration (a few more times). It's fine to be cool, but I think Federer can lift his game if he learns to use good and bad emotions to get motivated.
