The launch of the 2010 Fine Art took place at the CTICC in Cape Town earlier today.
Various artists from South Africa as well as the rest of South Africa displayed some of their collections which was inspired by soccer.
As the build up to this years Confederations cup takes place as well as the World Cup next year artist were given the opportunity to showcase their art.
General manager of 2010 Fine Art Ro Spaull says he hope! s the launch breathes new life into the catch phrase, Football, the Beautiful game.
So far 45 artists from six continents are participating in the fine art collection.
One of the artist known as Taju says the project is a big opportunity for African artists like himself and it's wonderful that the world cup has been used to benefit African art.
