Genk leapt up the Jupiler League standings to ninth with a 2-0 win at Lokeren.
It took Genk until the 57th minute to grab the lead, which came thanks to a goal from Torben Joneleit. Fabien Camus added a quickfire second two minutes later.
The result leaves Lokeren in the bottom three, one point above Excelsior Mouscron who have a game in hand.
